COVID 19  affect on services 2021

Unfortunately COVID-19 is still at large and will affect your holiday in 2021.   We will follow any government advice as it is reviewed. We may all have to continue to make changes to the way things are done. Please consider the rule of 6 or two households maximum group size when booking your holiday.

What will not change is the relaxed, natural feel of the caravan site, its location in the beautiful Suffolk countryside and the wildlife who live here.

Mill Hill Farm is located in rural Suffolk with panoramic views over open farmland. The site is divided up into sections with hedges and trees to help with that " get away from it all" feeling. If you're looking for some where to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet then look no further.

Pass though the entry barriers and you will be met by our friendly, helpful staff.  Collect a  keycard to use during your stay and we will show you to your pitch.  David and Anne and the staff are always on hand to assist and help make your holiday as enjoyable as possible.  This year we are being as contact-less as possible.

If you need to catch up on the emails from home or search the weather forecast we do have WiFi, which can be picked up free of charge near to the reception block. Just ask for the WiFi code.

There are 110 spacious pitches spread across three fields. Most touring pitches are in bays of up to four pitches each with its own tap.  Hedges and trees have been planted to maintain the feeling of privacy.  We take touring caravans, motorhomes and camper vans, but we do not have static caravans.

There are grass and hard-standing pitches with electric hook up and grass pitches with no electric hook-up.  All pitches are close to fresh water taps.  Each pitch allows plenty of personal space where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the views.  There is no extra charge for awnings or gazebo's providing that they are fully contained within your pitch.

There are three heated toilet / shower blocks and two utility rooms.  In Nightingale and Barn Owl blocks you will also find a separate disabled toilet / wet room. We do not make an additional charge for the showers or hot water.  Motorhomes can take advantage of the grey waste emptying point and service point.

Toilets and showers are open but due to social distancing measures the capacity is reduced, which could result in longer waiting times than normal  and we continue to recommend that you use onboard facilities as much as possible.

Our token operated washing machine and tumble drier is in its own log cabin.   We sell maps in the shop and you can ask our staff about local walks and places to visit. We hope we will be able to restock with full tourist information and offer a charity book shelf again in 2021.

There are two well stocked fishing lakes which as well as being great for fishing are a great walk offering views of neighboring farm land and wildlife spotting opportunities. Dogs can walk here on leads.

Whether you're just starting out or a more seasoned angler looking for a challenge there's fish in there for you, just purchase a day or night fishing ticket from reception.

For our our four legged campers, we have extensive off road dog walks where they can sniff and explore to their hearts content.
Some areas have longer grass with paths mown in to provide habitats for various birds and animals.  Leaving our site you can access the Suffolk Wildlife Trust Darsham Marshes Nature Reserve and walk through the countryside via permissive paths, lanes and footpaths.
